For over a decade, trauma release healer Antonia Harman has helped clients unravel stagnation standing in their way from the past in order to liberate them. Antonia believes that if negative energy, associations and thought patterns are not removed, they can lead to emotional and physical pain. Helping people out of that space is where her practice with trance and healing work comes in, through classes and sessions carried out in person or online.
Antonia and I took to Zoom during the COVID-19 lockdown, where she demonstrated ‘clearing’ my mind and old thought patterns. Antonia started by asking me to name the main things that I felt were unblocking me. My mind immediately went to the self doubts I have when it comes to my purpose and path, being overly connected to past negative experiences and being seen. Antonia then asked me to close my eyes and go through each of these aspects in my mind. She then began her work too, silently using her intuitive gifts to dissolve my blockages.
After a time, Antonia asked me to go over my blocks again but this time note how I felt. The process must have been quick to work, because I immediately heard the word ‘validation’ in my mind when I thought about self doubt again. It seemed to suggest that I do not need validation in order to be happy and whole. The negative memories of the past no longer held any weight when I tried to think about them, it seemed that they evaporated – not into – but more like something my mind gently put aside for me.
Our session felt inspiring in that it quickly allowed me to fully reconnect with myself, and name the things that I did not realise had been holding me back. Antonia really embodied a warm energy and a safe space for this release to come through me, and it felt like a form of magic. “I think we are much more amazing than we realise.” Antonia explained “I think we are all gods and goddesses who have forgotten who we are, and my work is about awakening those abilities within”.

Where is home for you and what do you like most about it?
Finsbury Park. The location is amazing, it’s only a stone’s throw from the tube. I love working from my home office and seeing clients at the house. I have a little garden too which is my sanctuary.
What led you to become interested in pursuing a path to healing?
The million dollar question – the truth was I was good at it immediately. I did a healing on a friend of mine (see link) which meant she was able to avoid costly surgery, with only a 50% predicted success rate. Her eardrum had burst repeatedly and it was excruciating several times a week – think child birth through your ear. I resolved that in five inspired minutes which changed the whole trajectory of my life. She hasn’t had earache since 2007. I realised that medicine was missing a trick and probably wouldn’t have resolved her issue. Learning how to heal and really be of service was the most fascinating and worthwhile thing I could think of to do with my life.
What inspires you the most about the spiritual world?
Seeing amazing results. Clearing someone’s pain is nourishing to the soul.
What advice do you have to people who might not have had a healing session before?
Give it a go, there is nothing to lose. If you are not ready to part with your hard-earned cash come and see me for free. I zoom and Instagram group events regularly. There truly is a way out of suffering. If not now, then when?
Describe your typical day:
I don’t have a typical day. I know all these big execs say we need routine and structure but my life isn’t that way. Awakening my latent gifts means I’m often deeply exhausted when I wake up. Things happen whilst I’m asleep. As the day proceeds I often get more lucid. Other days I’m up really early and working on my PC or exercising. I have to be fluid with it as I don’t know how I will be. If I have early plans I always wake up lucid. I also teach a few weekends a month, which is so much fun.
During this lockdown, what simple coping tools or practices do you recommend at this time?
Avoid ‘fear porn’, by that I mean the news. Limit it to once a day MAX! Please turn off your news notifications. Fear will immobilise your immune system. You heard it, the more stressed you are the more likely you are to get sick. Be aware that excess sugar also prevents your immune system from working well.
One minute of anger weakens your immune system for 4-5 hours one minute of laughter strengthens it for 24 hours. Laugh and find joy where you can, learn a new skill if you have time use it wisely, rather than attempting to ‘complete Netfilx’.
What self care practices do you enjoy practicing?
I eat organic, and use natural skin care products and makeup. Sunshine is really good for you. I’m also a big juicer/ smoothie maker. Loading up with organic nutrients is important to me. Also I let problems go. Elsa had the right idea!
