|Could you tell us more about your family lineage as healers?
My maternal grandmother was a famous medicine woman in South America- she worked throughout South and Central America, Europe, and the States and there was a book written about her life. Her Spirit name was La Montes- The Mountain. She had 9 children of which 6 were daughters and they were all raised in a community that nurtured Spiritism, folk medicine, and personal spiritual development. This is how I was raised as well. I feel so lucky to have had that because I was always a highly empathetic and intuitive child, and so to never have been told that feeling other peoples energy or seeing spirits was unusual helped me nurture these gifts from a young age. My grandmother’s teachings were passed down and I hold them today as my children will in the future. She has since passed on but is my biggest guide, protector, and teacher to this day. It is so important to me to honour our ancestors and I feel so lucky to have such a strong bond with her that surpasses physical space + time.
